Arusha, 24 April 2017: The President of the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights (AfCHPR), Hon. Justice Sylvain Orė, called on H.E Alassane Ouattara, President of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, at his Palace in Abidjan on 18 April 2017, for discussions on a range of issues, including the work of the African Court and the protection of human rights on the continent, the organization of the third Continental Judicial Dialogue and the 47th Ordinary Session of the Court in Abidjan.

• African Court mission concludes week-long sensitization visits to the Arab Republic of Egypt and Republic of Tunisia.

Arusha, 4 April, 2017:  The African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights (AfCHPR) will undertake sensitization visits to the Arab Republic of Egypt from 9-11 April 2017 and the Republic of Tunisia from 12-14 April 2017, to hold discussions with various stakeholders with a view to promoting the Court.
Arusha, 22 March, 2017: The African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights (AfCHPR) will deliver a ruling in Application 016/2015 in General Kayumba Nyamwasa & Others v Republic of Rwanda on Friday, 24 March, 2017 at the seat of the Court in Arusha, Tanzania.
Arusha, 14 March, 2017: Two public hearings in the Application 012/2015 of Anudo Ochieng Anudo v United Republic of Tanzania and Application 003/2014 of Victoire Umuhoza Ingabire v Republic of Rwanda, which were scheduled for 16 and 17 March, have been rescheduled to 21 and 22 March, 2017 respectively.

•Arusha, 16 November, 2016: The African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights (AfCHPR) on Friday, (18 November, 2016), will deliver a  judgment in Application 001/2014 filed by the Association pour la Protection des Droits de I’Homme (Association for the Protection of Human Rights) v Côte d’Ivoire at its seat in Arusha, Tanzania.

•Arusha, 16 November, 2016: The African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights (AfCHPR) has organized an International Symposium 21-22 November 2016 to mark its 10th Anniversary at its seat in Arusha, the United Republic of Tanzania.
